Dear WCTHS Families:

Welcome to the 2011-'12 school year.  I certainly hope your summer was wonderful!  I have a lot of great news to share with you, but perhaps what’s most important to me right now is to confirm an academic rating from the state of Ohio of
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT! 

Last school year, our students performance increased in the following areas:

I am so proud of our kids, our staff, our partners and our families.  Thank you for all you do to support Woodward Career Technical High School.  We have set a new goal and that is to be rated an Effective school by the end of this school year.  I know we can count on your support!

The first day of school was truly exciting
Superintendent Mary Ronan and Mayor Mark Mallory visited our school.  They both greeted our students as they came to school on opening day.  The students looked prepared and ready to learn in their school uniforms!

This year, we will continue to emphasize Ohio Graduation Test success, career tech preparation, college readiness, Capstones, Intersession and technology in the 21st century classroom. 

We welcome your input concerning any of our initiatives and invite you to visit our parent center, meet with Mr. Bettis, our parent coordinator, and sign up to receive regular emails about your child’s school performance, behavior and attendance through PowerSchool.
