Dear Woodward Career Technical High School Families,

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!

The mission of Woodward Career Technical High School is to provide a safe, supportive and structured environment maximizing education, social growth and personal development, which connects the classroom to colleges and careers. It is our goal that at the end of your child’s 4years at Woodward Career Technical High School, they have a plan for attending college or starting in one of our three career fields.

We thank you for your total support of our adopted uniform policy and will continue to hold this as a priority for all of our students.

• Students must wear plain black or khaki pants (no leggings or denim)
• Shirts must be tucked in
• Belts must be worn with belt loop pants
• Shirts must be collared, polo style (long or short sleeves with no logo)
• Health Academy students wear powder blue
• Advanced Manufacturing students wear navy blue
• Construction Academy students wear maroon

Please be reminded that we discourage students from bringing cell phones to school. Cell phones will only be given back to a custodial parent.

Finally, the Back To School Grill Out is from 4 – 6 on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. The first day for students is Wednesday, August 22, 2012. We will begin promptly at 9:12am. There will be a list of homerooms posted throughout our building. Any student who has not received a schedule in the mail, will receive one on the first day of class.
